#1 – WorldFest
WorldFest, one of the region’s largest international festivals, celebrates its 17th anniversary with four days of expanded world food, music, dance, culture and education this Labor Day weekend. “Cities that embrace and encourage their international citizens and cultures will thrive, have a stronger quality of life and will attract new growth and jobs,” Mayor Greg Fischer said. ‘WorldFest is a great event for exploring and celebrating Louisville’s many faces and cultures and we always look to make it more vibrant, diverse and educational. So, it’s exciting to add many new features and attractions for the 17th Annual WorldFest.

#2 – NULU Fest
For the 11th year NuLu is hosting it’s well-known street festival celebrating the continued growth and revitalization of Louisville’s East Market District. Come enjoy live music by sonaBLAST! Records, regional micro-brewed beers, and numerous food and retail booths by local vendors. There will be activities for all ages. The event is free, family-friendly and open to the public.

#3 – Wine On The River Louisville
Come join us as we travel through different regions spanning the globe. Sample wine and spirits specific to a certain regions. Restaurants featuring culturally themed menus will also have food available for purchase. Take a break from your travels and enjoy the soothing sounds of live music. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Haven.

#4 – The St. James Court Art Show
The St. James Court Art Show® is a juried fine arts and contemporary crafts show featuring over 700 artists from around the U.S. held among the country’s largest collection of Victorian homes in the heart of historic Old Louisville. This 4-square block, outdoor art show takes place annually on the first weekend of October, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

#5 – ColorFest
Celebrate the fall season at ColorFest – a family favorite! Visitors can slingshot pumpkins, navigate the hay maze, make mud pies, and enjoy a hayride in the splendor of Bernheim’s colorful fall landscape. Other highlights include live music, hands-on nature activities, unique local foods, Kentucky arts and craft vendors, and more.

#6 – Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula at Actors Theatre
His fangs are bared. His eyes glow crimson. Louisville’s favorite vampire is back! Based on Bram Stoker’s gothic tale of the immortal Transylvanian count and his unexpectedly feisty human prey, this fast-paced, fright-filled adaptation is a Halloween treat that drips with suspense—and even more blood.

#7 – Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular began in Oxford, Massachusetts in 1988. The Louisville event, celebrating its 7th year in 2019, is held in Iroquois Park with 5,000 carved pumpkins lining a 1/3-mile walking trail, illuminated at night as an “art show”. The show runs daily from dusk to 11 p.m., during the week (Sunday-Thursday), and closes at midnight on Friday & Saturday.
