#1 – The Spirit and Place Festival: Intersection

The 2018 Spirit and Place Festival celebrates, explores, challenges, and reflects on the meaning behind the word “intersection”. In its 23rd year, this annual Indianapolis, IN event is a collaborative festival that uses the arts, religion, and humanities as a tool for shaping individual and community life through ten days of events. The festival uses film, lecture, and hands-on, interactive displays to bring individuals of different backgrounds together.

#2 – CNO Financial Group: Indianapolis Monumental Marathon

Falling into one of the 20 largest marathons in the US, the CNO Financial Group Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is the ideal fall marathon for everyone, from first-time marathon runners to elite athletes. The race starts and finishes at the Indiana State Capitol and highlights landmarks and historic neighborhoods throughout the city. The race is known for being flat and fast, and has hosted Olympians, personal-record seeking hopefuls, and thousands of Boston Marathon qualifiers.

#3 – Circle of Lights

Known as Indianapolis, IN’s kickoff to the holiday season, there is no better tradition to ring in the holiday cheer than the Circle of Lights. For 56 years, thousands of spectators have gathered to see the spectacular holiday display. The glow of close to 5,000 lights makes spirits bright and marks the official start for the holiday season. #4 – 8th Annual Indianapolis Winter Magic Festival

The Winter Magic Festival is a unique event designed to bring back the thrill of live magic shows to the stage for all to enjoy. Each year, this event brings together the world’s master magicians and the future stars of magic. This Indianapolis classic event presents the world’s top magicians in an intimate setting, where you can’t miss a trick!

#5 – Devour Indy  

For the foodie in all of us, this is one event you can’t miss out on. #6 – 10th Annual Brewers of Indiana Guild Winterfest

For those who are 21 or older and enjoy a good beer (or two, or three) this event is a must-attend. Event Goers can choose from over 400+ beers to sample and 100+ breweries to find something to attend to their taste buds. Winterfest will feature cask ales, early bird exclusive specialty beers, and as many 3 oz. pours as one can responsibly enjoy. For every ticket sold, $3.00 will benefit the event’s charity partner, Joy’s House, whose mission is to serve families by providing exceptional adult day and caregiver services.

#7 – 8th Annual Indy Winter Blues Festival

There’s no better way to enjoy the cold of an Indianapolis, IN winter than with a hot music festival and good tunes. This year’s show features a handful of Indiana’s top local artists, including Harvey Cook, Mike Milligan, Steam Shovel, and Djano Knight. Don’t miss out on these local, talented musicians!
